"Programs that give you information you have already earned (such as visible timers) are ok. To give you some insight on the direction we are headed though (and to solicit your feedback) this is the direction we are heading. It is not quite ready for prime-time roll out yet, but will be in the very near future. Moving forward, we are crafting a clearer policy around 3rd party addons. It really just seems like Riot is butthurt someone else had to create a third party program to do what Riot should have had implemented 2 seasons ago but for whatever reason refuse to do, using the blanket excuse of "we're working on it but it's too hard". The overlay Curse Voice puts into the client doesn't have any negative impact on anything. There is seriously no point in wasting Curse's or Riot's time on this matter. Riot needs to change it's bullshit stance of "if it does ANYTHING to the client GOOD OR BAD OR USELESS it's not allowed" to "if it does BAD things to the client or game it's not allowed". It isn't meant to be like teamspeak or vent that you NEEED to give out the link to join, it's meant to be a simple and fast way to communicate with other players. Having that removed completely defeats the purpose of the program.
"NEEKO, IF YOU DISTRACT ME WITH MYSELF ONE MORE TIME." refers to Neeko's champion trailer in which she mimics Rakan's appearance.The whole point of the Curse Voice system is to say "hey other people here are using Curse Voice, join them". One of Rakan's movement quotes, "Name one genius that ain't crazy.", is a reference to the song Feedbackby Kanye West. One of Rakan's movement quotes, "Ha! I'm, G to the D! Golden Diamonds, boy! Woo!", may be a reference to the song Crayon by G-Dragon ( G-DRAGON - CRAYON(크레용) M/V). One of Rakan's recall quotes, "Let's go! Baby! Baby? Baby? Baby!", may be a reference to a phrase from YouTube personality Markiplier's Silent Hill ( Playable Teaser video). It's alright! It's ok! I'm staying alive!" is a reference to the song Stayin' Alive by the Bee Gees. "I've been kicked around since I was born. True story" and "Challenge accepted!" references Barney Stinson from How I Met Your Mother. "When I get sad, I stop being sad and be awesome instead. "We are seen dancing and thought insane - by those who can't hear the music" references a famous quote by Friedrich Nietzsche. "The only way to understand magic is to plunge into it, move with it, dance and dance!" is similar to the quote " The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it and join the dance" by the British speaker and mystic Alan Watts, whose teachings included philosophies similar to the ones found in Rakan's quotes. Xayah's pick quote "I CAN NEVER RESIST AN INVITATION TO DANCE" is an answer to Rakan's one. His pick quote "Let's dance!" is a reference to the eponymous song by David Bowie. Both are the first champions to feature ping-related lines. Rakan and Xayah share unique interactions depending on the situation. Rakan: “If anybody is gonna die first, it's gonna be me. Xayah: “I need you to be more careful.”. Rakan: “What are those things the Star Guardians wear?”. Rakan: “Nah, being a handsome villain is a good look for me.”. Xayah: “And you don't need to change outfits twenty times before we leave.”. Xayah: “If you don't wanna go with me-”. Rakan: “You know my love will save you.”.
